Private tours in Tunisia: the questions we get most
Is the tour really private, or shared with other people?
Genuinely private. The vehicle carries your group and nobody else — we do not fill seats, and there is no minimum number for a departure to run. If two of you book, two of you travel.
Do you collect other people from other hotels first?
No. You are the only pickup. Shared excursions spend the first hour or more touring hotels before the day starts, and the same in reverse at the end; your car leaves when you get in and comes straight back.
What group sizes can you take?
Two to four in a sedan, up to eight in a minivan, nine or ten in two vehicles with the same driver team — and from eleven a minibus (up to 20) or a coach (up to 50 and more), with a driver-guide who knows the sites. The price is per vehicle, so it does not multiply with the number of passengers.
Is there a fixed departure or return time?
No. You choose the departure, and the day ends when you decide it does. There is no group to keep to a timetable and no coach that will leave without you.
At Carthage, do we see everything or just one site?
As much as you want. Carthage is six separate sites spread over several kilometres — the Antonine baths, the Punic ports, Byrsa hill, the amphitheatre, the Roman villas and the museum. Coach excursions typically stop at one. Your driver can take you to all of them.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes. The fare covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel, tolls and parking. There is no meter, no luggage charge and no night surcharge — the number you are quoted is the number you pay.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track the flight. Your driver adjusts to the actual landing time and waits up to 60 minutes after you land at no extra cost.
Which airports do you cover?
Tunis-Carthage (TUN), Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE) and Monastir (MIR), plus the cruise terminal at La Goulette. Djerba and Tozeur are quoted on request.
Do your drivers speak English?
Yes — and French, Italian, German and Arabic. Tell us which you would rather have and we assign a driver accordingly.
How do I pay?
Cash to the driver in euro or dinar, by card on the day (the bank’s 4.7% is added), or by bank transfer in advance. Nothing is charged up front and we hold no deposit.
